ISLAMABAD (Bakhabar Pakistan) – Chief Justice Yahya Afridi has made significant appointments within his office, marking key organizational changes aimed at strengthening his administration. On Thursday, he appointed a new secretary and an executive officer, and following his approval, a formal notification was released to announce the appointments.
According to the issued notification, Muhammad Yaseen, a Senior Private Secretary, has been promoted to serve as Secretary to the Chief Justice at grade-21. Sources close to the judiciary suggest that a new Registrar for the Supreme Court may soon be appointed. Jazila Aslam, the current Registrar, is expected to step down from her administrative role as she prepares to return to the bench as a judge. This anticipated shift hints at an ongoing restructuring within the Supreme Court aimed at maintaining the effectiveness and integrity of the institution’s operations.
Additionally, there are discussions underway about the potential appointment of a staff officer to further support the Chief Justice’s office. This role would ensure seamless communication and coordination within the Chief Justice’s team, ultimately contributing to the administrative strength and operational precision of the Supreme Court.
