Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court has disposed of a contempt of court petition filed by citizen Wajahat after a compliance report was submitted confirming implementation of the court’s order to remove his name from the travel restriction list.

Justice Muhammad Azam Khan heard the petition. The petitioner’s counsel and Assistant Attorney General Raja Zamiruddin appeared before the court.

During the hearing, the Assistant Attorney General informed the court that the judicial order had been implemented and submitted a compliance report.

In light of the report, the court disposed of the petition.

The Islamabad High Court had previously ordered the removal of Wajahat’s name from the travel restriction list. The citizen had filed a contempt petition over the alleged non-compliance with the court’s order. The court had subsequently granted time until the day of the hearing to implement its directive.
