In view of the visit abroad of Chief Justice Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi took oath as the Acting Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan.


In this connection, a dignified oath-taking ceremony was held at the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan, where Justice Aamer Farooq administered the oath of office to Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi. The ceremony was attended by the Hon’ble Judges of the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan, the Worthy Registrar, officers of the Court, as well as representatives and office-bearers of the Ministry of Law, the Supreme Court Bar Association and the Pakistan Bar Council.


Following the oath-taking ceremony, Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi assumed the responsibilities of the office of Acting Chief Justice to ensure continuity in the judicial and administrative functioning of the Court and the uninterrupted, effective and timely dispensation of constitutional justice.


The arrangement reflects the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan’s commitment to institutional continuity, constitutional governance, the uninterrupted discharge of judicial responsibilities and the rule of law. The Court shall continue to discharge its constitutional and legal obligations in furtherance of the supremacy of the Constitution and the effective administration of constitutional justice.
