Pakistan’s experienced opener Fakhar Zaman achieved a major milestone in the third and final T20 International against Sri Lanka, becoming the first Pakistani batter to hit 100 sixes in men’s T20 International cricket.

The 36-year-old reached the landmark at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium by hitting Sri Lankan fast bowler Binura Fernando for a six over deep midwicket.

Fakhar had already hit 99 sixes before the match and needed just one more to reach the historic mark. However, his achievement could not help Pakistan secure victory.

His stay at the crease was short-lived, as he was dismissed for 12 runs off the bowling of Eshan Malinga.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka secured an eight-wicket victory, thanks to an impressive batting performance by Kusal Mendis.
