ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic fire at the nursery of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), in which 14 newborn babies reportedly lost their lives.

The prime minister took notice of the tragic incident and directed the authorities to conduct an immediate investigation. He said that such an incident involving children was an irreparable tragedy and ordered a detailed review of the circumstances that led to the fire.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the authorities to determine those responsible for the incident and take the strictest possible action against anyone found responsible.

He also expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased newborns, saying that his heart was deeply saddened by the tragic incident and that he shared the grief of the bereaved parents.

The prime minister prayed for patience and strength for the families and prayed that Allah Almighty grant them the courage to bear this immense loss.
