ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has initiated the process to offer dollar-denominated benchmark Eurobonds as part of its efforts to regain access to international capital markets.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the government has started seeking offers for five-year and 10-year Eurobonds. However, the final issuance will depend on prevailing conditions in global financial markets.

The Ministry said Pakistan’s sovereign credit rating has continued to improve, while strengthening economic fundamentals have also contributed to greater investor confidence.

Officials said the planned Eurobond issuance would mark an important step toward Pakistan’s return to the international capital market and could help broaden the country’s access to global sources of financing
