The PTI negotiating team is waiting for Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai to arrive in Islamabad as efforts to resume talks between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) remain stalled.
According to a member of the negotiating committee, Achakzai is currently in Quetta and is expected to return today.
“We have been waiting for him for the past two days. Had he arrived earlier, several matters could have been settled yesterday,” the committee member said.
The member added that every hour was valuable and that progress could have been made towards reaching an agreement.
The PTI negotiating team hopes that the third round of talks will take place once Achakzai arrives in Islamabad.
